About 5 thousand children born in the 2008 year of Kosovo Independence will mark the 2018 Olympic Day today.
The Kosovo Olympic Committee has increased the masovity of this day and will this time be organised at the seven Kosovo centres: Pristina, Gjilan, Peja, Gjakova, Prizren, Mitrovica and Ferizaj, where children will run in the squares of these municipalities.
The main event is held in Pristina, where about 2,500 children participate. They will run from the square “Zahir Pajaziti” to the theatre, until other activities of the modern pentalton will take place.
The 2018 Olympic Day is organised in co-operation with the Directors for Education of the respective municipalities and starts at the same time at 0900. This is the seventh edition the KOK marks this day, after those organised in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
