22 thousand and 232 Albanians have died in Albania last year, which is more than that of births.
Although 90 percent of Albania's deaths are due to natural causes in this high figure, other causes, such as chronic heart disease and tumors, have been involved.
According to a report published by the Institute of Statistics on causes of death in Albania, 90.1% of Albanians die for natural causes, so different diseases, 0.9% commit suicide and 2.1% die in accidents, albinfo.ch records.
During 2017 these reports have resulted in 11,926 deaths because of heart disease. More women die from the heart while male tumors are first said in the IS report.
In 2017, the highest death toll from heart disease was recorded in Berat and Kukes, with over 60%.
In Shkodra, meanwhile, the highest number of deaths have been recorded due to tumors. In Lezha, the highest death toll is marked due to traumatic injuries and poisoning.
