For two years 200 types of essential drugs suffered astronomical expensiveness

Some 200 types of essential list drugs for patients are forced to purchase the Ministry of Health from 2015 suffered price hikes from 100 to 2,000 percent today, writes Koha Ditore.

Of the same companies, with the same amount in 2016 and 2017, they are much more expensive. The Ministry of Health in these two years has never managed to supply health institutions with all products that are part of the essential list. Even now, many products on this list are missing, although this year's drug budget has increased for 8m euros.

A research by the Columbus Institute, which was presented on Tuesday, has shown how the past two years spent millions of euros on drugs have never been enough to meet the regular and full supply from the essential list.
