Today in the Museum of Kosovo, “Kumimiro Workshop” takes place, where Hoko Tokoro presents the traditional Japanese technique called Kumhimo, for the creation of coloured interlocks from silk fibers.
In Japan this craft has been passed on for 1500 years. The Samurai once used Kumishimon to create their weapons, and also the belt of Kimono, which was woven by a cord in the way of Kumhimo art.
