The wage level bill is expected to be submitted to the Assembly

The bill on salaries aimed at leveling salaries for the same jobs paid by the state budget is expected to go to the Assembly in June. Public Administration Minister Mahir Jaggelar has made this known for Radio Kosovo. The wage bill was adopted in the former prime minister's government [...]
The bill on wages was adopted in Prime Minister Isa Mustafa's past government at the end of 2016 and prosecuted in the Assembly. But not yet discussed in both the Parliament and the Commission's Headship had withdrawn from the Government following the European Union's request. The EU office in Kosovo had demanded that the Bill on Salaries be prosecuted in the Assembly in packages with the Law on Civil Service and the Law on Organising Public Administration. Since then, there have been some predictions of when the bill would go to the Assembly. And the latest forecast for Radio Kosovo has been given by Public Administration Minister Mahir Jaggelar.
“We believe that during June you will come to the Assembly, the laws will come in the package, because even requirements have been sent into packages and then in parliamentary procedures it will be seen that this will be done as soon as possible and then planning on entering into force, because it should be appropriated even through sublaw acts and the adoption of other laws that will be implemented<1>, the minister said.
Jaggelar said the law needs to be adopted because it is already part of the European agenda.
“is also part of the Public Administration reforms. We are working intensively in this law, even in the law on organising public administration and on the law for public officials, or the law for civil service”, he said.
Salaries of the labour force paid by the state budget will be determined according to the cofficiator, Minister Jaggelar stressed.
“In the digit aspect we cannot now provide information, but in terms of the report, the cofficients are planned to be 1 to 11 or maximum 1 to 12. Then comes the definition of the value of the cofficiency, which also depends on the Republic of Kosovo budget and other factors, then can be calculated as much as the lowest or highest wage in the framework of the Kosovo Republic budget”, he said.
By law, it is intended to become a level according to positions under public officials and officials, actually all people who benefit from the budget of the Republic of Kosovo. These include the position of president, prime minister, prime minister, ministers, deputies, heads of agencies, and then moved to civilian service areas, respectively, to education, health and police. /Radio Free Kosova/
