The election commission has said 15 April that Fidesz has won 133 out of 199 parliamentary seats, or 49.6 of the vote.
The far right party, Jobik, has won 26 seats until the Social Democrats 20 other countries.
The Exodus was 69.3 percent.
Election monitors from the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) have said the vote has been characterised by <x1 ksenophobia rhetoric, media prejudice and dark campaign financing”.
With two-thirds of the vote, the Fidesz party has the power to change the Constitution and adopt other laws.
On April 14th, tens of thousands of protesters have protested on the streets of Budapest to condemn what organisers have described as an unfair election system.
Orban has said that in the new governance it will pass a set of laws limiting the work of nongovernmental organisations and punish those organisations that provide support to migrants. (REL)
