The results of the Workers' Power Survey recently released by the Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) show that last year unemployment has increased by 3 percent compared to the unemployment rate registered by this agency in 2016.
The unemployment rate for 2017 registered by the ASS is 30.5 percent, while unemployment has scored 27.5 percent in 2016, writes Koha Ditore.
According to results released by last year's Labour Power Survey publication, two-thirds of the population in Kosovo are a working-age population. Work age populations include 15-64 years of age.
This publication contains detailed data on employment and unemployment, according to age, gender, employment status, economic activities, professions and other similar issues involving the job market.
Within the working age population, the rate of participation in the workforce according to the AK is 42.8%.
