European Council President Donald Tusk said news from the Korean Peninsula and what it has experienced in the Balkans in recent days show that the “impossible could be possible”.
“What I've heard today from Korea and what I've experienced in the Balkans in recent days should be a positive reminder for all, that the impossible can be made possible and that everything depends entirely on the goodwill and courage of individuals”, Tusk said on Twitter.
Tusk has visited Western Balkan countries this week, where he has conveyed the message that the European Union is and remains their most reliable partner.
Tusk has also assured them that they have European future if they meet the criteria.
On Friday, the two Koreas have pledged that they will fully disleerate the Korean Peninsula and have said they expect the official end of the war to be declared by the end of the year.
