The “company Vlach Mining” has been declared the winner of the mining permit race in the area 294/7, referred to as the Vlana Mine in Kukes. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy has announced this winning subject on the basis of the bid submitted for the March 23rd 2017 race.
“Vallen Mining”, based on the QKR extract, is a society owned in equal percentages by Albanian “Albchrome Holding” (part of Balfin) and the Turkish giant in Croatia export, “EK IN MADEN TICARES VE SANAYI” The Albanian and Turkish companies have joined this joint venture (not venture) just days before the MIE application on 12 March.
The company envisions conducting a $1.27 billion investment in the Vlana mine to realise an annual product of 92,665 tonnes, which will also be processed by this company. In total, the value of mining products, based on Vlana's giant reserves, is estimated at over $2.7 billion from where economic stability -- that is, the percentage that will go to the state is 42.66%.
“Vlahna” is estimated to have some 1,39 000 tonnes/m3 chrom on an area of 1,804 square miles (,804 sq km) reported SCAN. The mine started in 1986, and by 2006 a total production of 45 thousand tons was calculated. This mine is one of eight mines in Albania that have over 1 million tonnes of chromium reserves.
