(8 years ago)The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, along with the president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, in line with the Constitutional Court's decision, the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and the laws in power have reactivated the management team, which will draft the statute for the Association of Serb municipalities. Producing the statute will be a transparent and comprehensive process, which will be made up of 3 processing mechanisms: The management team, the implementing Committee as well as the National Consultative Group, which will ensure involvement of the entire political spectrum, civil society and other relevant mechanisms of society.
The process will include international mechanisms, which have assisted Kosovo in all phases and will be an important step of Kosovo on its path to Euro-Atlantic integration.
The final draft of the statute, at the end of the process together with the directive, will be sent to the Constitutional Court to ensure it is in full compliance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.
Kosovo with this step also fulfilled an international obligation, testifying to its dedication on the Euro-Atlantic road.
