Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has asked Russia to recognise Kosovo as an independent state and not use its veto of UN membership. Thaci made these comments after meeting with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, who is staying in Pristina, in the quality of the EU chairman.
Thaci has been asked by Bulgarian journalists if Kosovo will join the EU and the US for sanctions against Russia.
Kosovo is part of the EU and US stance. Of course, we want and work for Russia to recognise Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state. Recognition of Kosovo by Russia would also help Serbia. We don't mind Serbia's report Russia. We want normal reports with Russia. We are not enemies of any state in the world...” Thaci said.
