Six Turkish citizens, five of them teachers and heads of educational institutions in Kosovo, were arrested Thursday to be deported to Turkey later, where they are accused of allegedly terrorism.
For the arrest and expulsion of Cihan ʼezkan, Kahraman Demirez, Hasan Hüseyin Günakan, Mustafa Erdem, Osman Karakaya and Yusuf Karabina, the country's leaders said they were not informed.
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci; Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj; and Kosovo Assembly Chairman Kadri Veseline reacted after the Turks were arrested, saying they were aware of the Kosovo Agency for Intelligence and the Kosovo Police action.
But later, Turkey's President, Recep Tayip Erdogan, found that, in fact, Thaci has been informed of the arrest and deportation of Turks.
Erdogan thanked Thaci for handing over to the Turks, whom he accuses as members of the Fetullah Gylen movement, considered terrorist in Turkey.
With many of the displaced Turks, President Thaci once enjoyed it. He even published a photograph in his official account on the Instagram social network in 2014, which is seen in the association of teachers of his son Andrew.
After a long day of work, I attended this afternoon my parents ' meeting with educators at Andrew's school. I'm happy, but I'm not getting into the details of the comments received by the teachers. #Kosovo, #schools, #edim”, wrote Thaci in the legend of the photograph, in which, among the participants, seems also expelled from Kosovo days ago, Mustafa Erden. /GazetaExpress/
