Educators in Kosovo continue to develop the learning process in very serious conditions, still using old tools, as countries in the region and wider ones have advanced in this direction. They seek school equipment with concrete and technology tools for a process of learning close to countries in the region and beyond.
Low school teacher Albina Jakupi says that in current conditions working by teachers, it is difficult to achieve the desired success. It requires advanced work tools so that students can keep up with their European peers.
We as teachers meet in school infrastructure. Many things we need to ask for from our parents, since very little is offered to us by school. We should have more concrete tools”, she told public television.
Education Union Chairman Nundman Jasharaj said there has been investments in building new school facilities, but, as he said, there are lack of basic working conditions. He said teachers in Kosovo still work on foam and blackboard, while digital learning has advanced in other countries.
“technology has gone tremendously. Our state is sharing little budgets for education to supply our schools with concrete tools, which should be in accordance with the new time and curriculum, but our schools are very poor. ”
The Ministry of Education is aware of the working conditions with which teachers work. The adviser in this ministry, Valmir Gashi, said teachers still work by classical means, but, as he said, in co-operation with donors, are making efforts to improve them.
We have divided a considerable number of black signs, about a thousand. They're not digital, but they're advanced. As for digital charts, it's a costly project, but we'll keep in mind when the whole-day lesson starts.
Meanwhile, a very small number of schools in the country are equipped with computers, and the worst in this direction are schools in rural countries. Teachers with their financial tools are forced to find various materials for certain materials to distribute to students during the teaching process. According to them, investment in technology in schools is seen far away.
