Syria will be protected if attacked by the United States, Britain and France, Syria's permanent UN representative, Bashar al-Jafar, said at the Security Council session today.
If the United States, Great Britain, and France think that they can attack and endanger our sovereignty, we will have no choice but to achieve the 51st article of the United Nations Charter that gives us the right to defend ourselves. It is a promise, we will not allow anyone to violate our sovereignty”, Al Jafar added.
Russia called on this urgent meeting to discuss the threat of military attacks by the US and its allies France and Great Britain in response to the alleged chemical gun attack in Duma, Syria last weekend.
