Suspending a cop involved in beating up north

Kosovo Police Inspector (IPK), today in the early hours of the morning, has received information concerning the involvement of two police officials in an incident between each other.

After receiving information, IPK investigators have immediately appeared at the scene on “road. Lole Ribar” in a local in northern Mitrovica where the incident had taken place.

“The investigators have taken some investigative actions, while the case by the guardian prosecutor has been described as assault on the official person and serious bodily injury. Based on the first information, as a result of this incident, one of the police officials has suffered serious bodily injury (frozen in the nose) and has been sent for medical treatment”, the IPK media report reported.

As part of the administrative procedures, along with the ongoing criminal investigation, one of the police officials has been suspended for 48 hours.

IPK investigators will continue to take further investigative action towards the full lighting of this case and the motive of the incident in consultation with the competent prosecutor.

We remember that two members of the Kosovo Police, from the ranks of the Serb community, as reported in Kosovapress, were beaten in the early hours of today's morning among themselves in northern Mitrovica.
