160 signatures have given residents of the three villages of Ruboc the Great, Rubovc i Vogel, as well as the village of Lipjan to change the name of the elementary school in which the children of these three villages follow.
The petition organization to change the name of this school from “Dritia” which it currently holds in “Januz Bajcinca” has been taken by the latter's family because of his native work, KTV reports.
Januz Bajcina's grandson says the initiative was supported by almost all residents, but the petition was not taken on the basis of family political beliefs.
Village dwellers also reason on the initiative to change their names, saying the family deserves honor.
But for a teacher, the most important thing is that the school is becoming a new object and is expected to be completed within the year.
At the Lipjan Education Directorate, the school board, which after the petition was submitted, met and decided not to initiate name change procedures.
So according to municipal education directorate officials, there is nothing the school council can do if it gives no reason to move on with this change.
However, witness members say they will not stop there and that they will follow all legal ways so that the school of three villages will bear the name of their grandfather, Januz Bajcinca.
