Spain has proposed the text of the planned Joint Declaration for Publishing during the Sofia Summit between the European Union and Western Balkan countries, writes the Spanish newspaper El Pais.
As noted, the reason for this is not EU foreign policy, but the goal “is that the name and signature of Marian Rajoy is not found in the same document and at the same level as Kosovo leader”, whose independence Spain does not recognise.
The Spanish newspaper, which quotes Belgrade media, stresses that this information has been confirmed by many diplomatic sources and that Rajoy will surely abandon Bulgaria and the summit so that it can begin with the highest representatives of Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
