At a media conference in the Government of the Republic of Serbia in Belgrade, which was preceded by a joint meeting, Agoushev and Mihajlovviq explained that the initial plans envisioned the start of construction in 2020, but that today they agreed they would try together, to realise this a year earlier, AA reports.
We had a productive meeting with Mihajlovic where we discussed infrastructure projects that connect our two countries, and as such are important to our citizens”, Angjusev said.
He added that during the meeting, the 10th corridor has also been discussed to add that in late April, the last route to cross Macedonia will be completed, the Demir Kapi é Smokvica highway, which will be put to use.
Minister Mihajlovic stressed that the meeting with Agoushev was effective and that agreement was reached for a joint effort to start quickly building the Presevo Tabanoc border crossing.
Let's start the work as soon as possible. We agreed that despite plans to start in 2020, we should try together to start construction in 2019<18x1>, she added.
The Serbian minister said that thanks to the co-operation she has with Macedonia, Serbia is located at the tenth place on the Doing Business World List, and due to that, she said co-operation between the two countries should intensify more, since there is a potential for joint projects.
