Russian Ambassador to the UN Security Council Vassibly Nebenzya has said the attacks by the United States and its allies has been “act of aggression” against Syria's sovereign state.
He has said the move by these states has demonstrated a disregard for international law.
In addition, he has said the US “is creating a catastrophic situation in Syria, burdening it”.
The international law system was violated in Syria, just as it happened in Yugoslavia, Libya and Iraq”, he said, broadcast news.net.
On the other hand, US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said the attacks were carefully planned to minimise civilian casualties.
She has said that the United States will follow any country that can use or assist in using chemical weapons.
Haley has reiterated that President Trump has stated that if Syria uses poison gas again, the U.S. is ready to react.
