The LDK Parliamentary Group in co-operation with the VV's GP and GDP have submitted today the request for extraordinary hearings in the Kosovo Assembly, in terms of the arrest of six Turkish citizens by Kosovo Police and their expulsion to Turkey, reportedly “violation of the Constitution and Laws of Kosovo over the deportation of Turkish nationals”.

The news has been confirmed by Kosovo Assembly MP from LDK ranks Armend Zemaj, who has been authorised to collect the signatures needed for calling the session. According to him, the request with the signatures of 40 deputies was submitted this morning to the Kosovo Assembly.

Our request today is to hold the extraordinary hearing on the case, but this is usually up to the Parliamentary Assembly Chief and Groups if they can prepare to hold this session today”, Zemaj told Blic.

So far, no official announcement has been published from the Assembly of Kosovo concerning holding this session.

The meeting calendar, the Kosovo Parliament on the other side of the Social Democrat Initiative, has called for parliamentary investigation into the issue, as, according to this party, “full transparency and responsibility of all people involved in this action, is the minimum of what should urgently be done”

Kosovo's top leaders have said Saturday they have ordered comprehensive investigations into all institutions involved in the arrest and deportation operation of six Turkish citizens.

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, who has said he has not been aware of the actions of security institutions for the expulsion action, has promised that such actions no longer dare to repeat.

While Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has said Saturday the case is being investigated by competent organs. He has even said he possesses a detailed report by the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI), which says the reason for the deportation of six Turkish citizens concerns illegal acts in Kosovo.

Even the ombudsman, in this case, has decided to open the case of Ex Offizio, to investigate in detail the actions taken by public authorities.

The deportation action of six Turkish citizens, which was undertaken on 28 March, was reported as a joint action of the intelligent services of Turkey and Kosovo.
