The Constitutional Court in Pristina has assigned the detention of six arrested by the Student Association for Equality “Sudium, Action, Critics”.
In this decision, the SCV organisation has reacted, saying it is unfair, demanding that students be released immediately.
The SKV calls on the court to condemn officers who, according to them, misused the official office, while the prosecution begins investigations into overcoming all the competencies and torture of students on the part of ordered members of the police.
The six members of the SKV were arrested on the night between Thursday and Friday at the town park in Pristina, where the organisation was celebrating its 8th anniversary.
Members of the SKV protested yesterday in front of Pristina's “Police Station, seeking the release of those arrested.
Police announced yesterday that they have been exiled to the park following citizens' complaints that mobs there are disrupting public order and calm and are using narcotics and alcohol.

Court Continues Police Violence Against Activists
The Pristina Constitutional Court today has wrongly assigned six of our activists, from 1 month's detention. All six activists, Korab Muhadri, Pacim Demaj, Hajredin Krasniqi, Kreshnik Gega, Januz Shatri and Andrew Shatri, were sentenced to a total of half a year in custody, only to justify the brutal violence used by ordered police.
This detention measure comes after violence and arrests of student activists on the night of April 12th, during marking the 8th anniversary of the establishment of the STU DYM CRIRICA V EPPRIM. At City Park, about 10: 00 a.m., during the video presentation of the documentary on our activity, two participators of the police showed up who requested permission and lowered their voice for the music being played. Students presented the documentation to the police, as well as lowered their voices by continuing to function peacefully. Only a short time later did two other policemen who began to provoke by insulting, raising their voices even by displaying their arbitracity and arrogance, even though the students had already agreed to collect items and move from the park. Although the situation calmed down several times, one of the police officers with the number 986 continued provocations and abusive speech, seeking to arrest students organizing activity without any clarification behind his request.
Media of power, as seen from that night, began preparing the scene with slander so that the court's decision, after the brutal violence of the police, would be so exaggerated, for a simple student activity. On the night of April 12, one of the policemen himself had been declared to be a Time Ditore, which had not been found at the scene, while on the other hand, the biased media published reports in which drugs were mentioned.
The activity before the intentional intervention of the police was calm. It was police pressure that changed the course of activity.
The Kosovar Centre for the rehabilitation of Torture Survivors (QKRMT), from interviewing, looking at police files, medical evidence and surveillance, has stated that during the phase of the arrest of activists, transporting them by police cars, even during their stay at Pristina Police Station, physical violence and insults have been used as insults, insults and threats. This court ruling is just a low attempt to cover the injuries that have been caused to our activists.
STU DYM CRIRICA V The EPRIM calls on the court to condemn policemen who misuse office, while the prosecution begins investigations into the overcoming of all the competencies and torture of students on the part of ordered members of the police. We demand that the students be released immediately!
