She was raped as a 12-year-old girl, and she confessed the horror she experienced.

January 2012, it was very cold for the minor. She was only 12 when Arta (not her real name) met two boys she did not know before.

They had been following him for months and had provided detailed information about him.

She says traffickers had taken honest photos and videos of rape to keep him under their blackmail for years.

She had never met them before.

She says that the beating she had invented that occurred at school had also been the reasoning she had given her family for years. She had been threatened all the time.

“... he said you wouldn't talk to me, or anything you had on your house to kill, you must first measure the other”.

The change she had followed in Arthur's ways had also been observed by her society, but none of them had tried to help her have the courage to alert her family and police to what she was experiencing. They, society, simply labeled it a brutish.

I've been told by the worst words that can exist... in their coma, not me. They've said words that I don't know if there's any worse, I've been offended in our ways, half of the society is away from me, and there's a whole other set of times”.

Arta says that she had tried to break free from them, but it was impossible.

You know, it's kind of like I'm in charge of you right now and so I can't get to the police, so to speak, so my mind didn't go to the police, 12 years old, where I knew what to do with bo”

But as soon as they started using violence in my wake, and they started giving me drugs, and I saw that I wasn't going, and I couldn't bear it, and I couldn't bear it, even though I was afraid that maybe I'd be on the road, and I was thinking whether my family would accept me or not, I had a lot of stupid thoughts in mind, that I was going to tell her, that they'd get the punishment, and I went on with it, and I said, "I'm not going anywhere, I'm going to say anything, I'm going to say,

The last time she was forced into submission to traffickers, she was 16.

She had stayed in a residence with them for a week, being used in different forms by different people.

When they took me to a flat, they have five people, they kept me a week and nobody's days where I'm not, no family or nobody. They've been using it the worst way there is, they're like their own game. I've been taken advantage of when they wanted something from me, they've been calling people what I've never known before, and I've had to go out with them every time they said or whenever they wanted to do it.

The age of those who have had relations with her has also been different, while she was a minor.

I've been mistreated, I've been beaten, but there's also that they've already made their relationship with me and they've gone, they haven't mistreated me or cured me... I've never been asked why you're staying here, or if you're a family, or you're interested in asking me, we're only coming and they're doing what they're after, and they've turned out to be”.

Violence and rape against her had been constant.

They raped me every time they did, they beat me, they gave me a chance, they gave me something to drink, they don't have drugs, they don't have a day like this.

A week after her absence at home, her family had called the Kosovo Police to find her.

After a week of no customers for him to take advantage of it, he was left on the street.

Arta, had lived in the middle of society for five years, between professors and family, but none of them had come to understand her absence in school, in her family and in society as something of concern, but had been labeled a slow girl.

Leaving her from generation to generation was even the best chance of traffickers. Many other arts can be counted in Kosovo today.

Arta has failed even to complete high school as a result of the pressure she had experienced at that time.

I don't know if they left me a week to go to school or not. After a lot of trauma, what even the disease has brought me from them, the epilepsia is the cause of all that has happened... Arta now lives with her family and the past for her remains past, she wants her voice to be motive for other young girls who may be experiencing the same torture as she did.

In a country with a population of less than 2 million people, victims of trafficking discovered by Kosovo police are not small. By 2015 32 victims of trafficking were identified, where 15 were minors, 36 victims of trafficking were identified in 2016, and 18 were their minors, while 32 victims, 19 of their minor age, were identified.

These victims are guarded by Kosovo institutions with full privacy. But the penalty for the perpetrators of this criminal offence is not yet maximum. / RTK
