Prime Minister Edi Rama in virtual communication with Kukes residents says he has not met with Kukes Mayor, since he has not distanced himself from violence. He said it is not the one who frees arrested protesters, as was also asked by those present, but is the work of justice organs, broadcasts tch.
I haven't met the mayor because he hasn't distanced himself from violence, and today I hear he's even said, that I'm retired from the tariff, and I have to ask for people's release. We live in a state that is with the Constitutions and laws, with separate powers. Who is prohibited, and who are judged is not the decision of the government but the law enforcement bodies. The call to release these and release them is a call that goes not only to the wrong address, but to the air because it is a process that belongs to the justice organs. Mayor Kukes I tell him not only did I not back down, but I'm just continuing a process we should have done before. That is true, for that I have apologised, and unlike others before, we don't even consider ourselves unerring”, Rama said.
He again apologized for their lack of communication. I apologize to everyone that this part is part of our responsibility. It wasn't a lack of communication either because we were indifferent to the problem, nor because we didn't focus on concerns, problems, problems in general, nor because they let the thing go in free flow, but for one reason, on the one hand, that we didn't properly appreciate this phase and on the other, while in late February we started working on a point of contract, which is for those called frequent street users, which means all those for whom the road is necessary and with high mobility. We do not want to fall into the trap we fell into, unfortunately by the manipulation of this case and the abuse that was committed to many people, with lies, slander. At this stage we are doing this work”, Rama said.
