Labour and Social Management Minister Skender Recica, along with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo Fatmir Limaj, have held meetings and discussions with the beneficial families of the Social Assistance Centre in municipalities, Theranda and Prizren today.
The purpose of the meeting concerns the MPMS project, concerning employment of a family member who has no employees, who have at least one member capable of work.
Minister Recica, during meeting with beneficial social assistance families in both municipalities, said the MPMS, with support even of the country's government, is committed to easing unemployment. Because we are not satisfied with how much you have been offered over the years, both materially and employment, we have seen the need to start with this project, the possibility of employment at least one member of your family”, said Recica.
Minister Recica also called on all family members who are not professionally prepared to be able to present themselves to the Employment Offices within a host of professional Training Centres to be trained in a host of profiles offered there.
Meanwhile, all those who are professionally prepared, the minister said they would be involved in public work, subsidised in salaries or other forms, within the active labour market measures, where it showed that MPMS has already begun co-operation with public companies and businesses that have demonstrated employment readiness.
The minister announced that under the efforts the MPMS is making for increased employment is the support of new entrepreneurs and the commitment to signing seasonal employment agreements of Kosovo citizens in some of the European Union countries. “You ensure that your involvement in the labour market will be the focus of our policies and strategies”, said Minister Recica.
Meanwhile, Republika Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj said the commitment to employing a member of households that have no employees is a top priority of the country's government. The “ide of these meetings, which will continue in other municipalities, is to inform citizens of the possibilities the state has and of municipalities for the employment of our citizens. Those families that have a member capable of work will not remain unemployed “, Deputy Prime Minister Limaj said.
During the following weeks, visits and meetings will also be held with social assistance beneficiaries in all Kosovo municipalities.
