Powerful Blasts in Syria

The Syrian government reported that its territory was hit with rockets during Sunday's evening.

The military announced that the missiles had hit several military bases near Aleppos. State television said missile attacks occurred at 22.30.

Meanwhile, the blasts have been extremely powerful, enough to be recorded as an earthquake quake by the European-Mediterranean seismological Centre 2.6, near the blast area.

A source from the opposition said the missile-hit base is known as the recruiting centre for Iranian-backed Shiite militants, who struggle with the forces of President Assad.
