Voter polls in Montenegro have been closed in the six-time presidential election elected prime minister, and once elected president Milo Djukanovic, as the great frontrunner to win them. These votes are crude for the history of the state by the Adriatic, the Periscope broadcast.
According to preliminary reports, 58,6% appeared in the elections, which has been commented as a low turnout compared to past elections.
Djukanovic says he expects to win without a run-off, but in the second round, however, he thinks victory is inevitable. The June 15th elections will be the key to determining Montenegro's course, towards the EU or towards Russia.
There have also been incidents during the voting procedure, but election authorities have said there were no major irregularities.
The preliminary results are expected to be communicated later in the evening, Periscope follows.
Polls have shown Djukanovic can win more than half the vote, thus avoiding the second round of voting.
Djukanovic's main challenger is pro-Russian Mladen Bojaniq, who has said he will withdraw recognition of Kosovo that his country has made. /Periscopi
