Ten People Arrested

Kosovo police have arrested ten people suspected of criminal acts “censing copyright” and the banned “gt”

The Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, the Sector for Investigation of Economic Crimes, after a several-month investigation, in co-operation with Regional Criminal Investigation Units, as well as assisted by the Cyber Crimes Investigation Unit, under suspicion of conducting criminal acts” authorial rights” and <x2ecretgt banned”, yesterday, on April 19th, 18th, has undertaken a search operation in five regions of Kosovo: Pristina, Mitrovica, Peja, Gjilan and Gjakova.

During the implementation of this operation with the competent court's ordinance, 10 (ten) local-business, 2 (two) homes-houses, 10 (ten) persons have been arrested and the following evidence seized:

  * Android Box 33 (thirty-three)
  · TV 1 (a) a piece
  · USB 4 (four) piece
  ·book work 2 (two)
  ·paragon-lock-phature 2 (two) piece

For the same, there is suspicion that suspects with their actions have illegally benefited by selling television channels platforms known as IPTV without permission and without prior authorisation and at the same time violating the copyright of subjects who have the authorization and exclusive right to issue TV channels. With these actions, the high-profile suspects have damaged legal companies who conduct regular activities in this area under the laws in force.

These actions allegedly committed criminal acts”censing copyright” by Article 296 of KPK and”tgt banned” from Article 305 KKP.
