She had gone out in 1994 to look for her brother after hearing several shots at Ibrahimi Mosque, where an Israeli shot hundreds of Palestinians while they were performing prayers, killing 29 and wounding more than 100.
And all the people were out on the street, and their clothes were bloody, and they were crying, and they were looking for shelter in our house,” And that's the horrible story.
This incident was for Abu Sbeiah, a taste of what would become a life of challenge while living in Hebron, the only Palestinian city with a Jewish settlement in the heart of the city, reports “Al Jazeera”, Contacts Periscopi.
Her most terrible experience is when in December 2015 she was arrested by the Israeli army along with her three grandchildren to kill an Israeli. According to her, Anat Cohen for many years was the biggest abuser and terrified Palestinians in the settlement where she lived.
She relates the moment of arrest when 35 soldiers had come to her house to send her to prison.
They told me to send six children to their father's room before they searched the house. They broke every object they saw. My kids were so scared.
Until the soldiers caught me, I took my eldest daughter. She looked at me, she was terrified. I will never forget that moment.
It was like she was dead and alive at the same time. It was like a tomb. You sit there wishing you could die.
Finally, I was sent to seven different detention centers, where I was placed on a cold floor with eyes tied and in handcuffs for hours. At the last center, they took the barrier away from me, and before me there was a soldier with a cake. I was hungry.
The worst part is with minors where you can't protect them; you feel helpless.
I was the spokeswoman for 25 women at the Damon prison in sector 61. I was responsible for their communication needs and the guards and the beetle administration. At one point, I requested an open family visit for some of the inmates, which would allow women to keep one of their children under the age of six for the last 10 minutes of the visit.
It shows Palestinians don't want death. We are people who love life but we have honor and dignity./Periscopi/
