Just before midnight with 62 votes against, 40 for and 2 contained no distrust of government “Zaev” was adopted.
The VMRO-DPMNE failed to secure enough votes for the collapse of the current government. Out of a total of 51 MPs, only 40 MPs voted for the intervention filed immediately after their return to the Assembly.
VMRO's no-confidence motion, according to them, raised it due to successive Government failures and the inability of ruling coalition partners LSDM-DUI for leadership of institutions. During the fierce debate in the Assembly, the opposition charged that power only works for party interests and that no draft has been realised in recent months and no reform promised before the elections, writes Alsat M.
Prime Minister Zoran Zaev in his speech just before the vote called on the opposition for constructiveity in the state's interest and on the eve of Euro-integration processes.
