Warm days have arrived in Kosovo. While heating through residences, which have long been missing in several Pristina neighbourhoods, it is expected to arrive within the year.
At least that's how Termokos plans, who have reached an agreement with the German Bank, to expand the heating network.
The 1.4m budget is set to be used for network rehabilitation, while the remaining 10m euros will be used for expansion.
This time, according to executive director Naser Cannolly, the priority is to expand the city's central part of Ulpiana and then to Payton.
In addition to residential facilities, Kosovo institutions will benefit from this expansion of the heating network.
According to Canoll, while the project with the German Bank will start as soon as it is ratified by the president, the European Commission's one will be postponed for September, this time at the EC's expense.
Cannolly said that on the Dardania and Sun Coast, it will be urgently worked to remove tubes older than 45 years.
Enhancing the Tomkos network is expected to affect the reduction of air pollution, as part of Pristina residents use coal during the winter heat.
