From today, Kosovo's young will have greater opportunities to develop the share of scientific research.
All of this thanks to the agreement signed today between the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and the World Service of the University of Austria for managing the grant for co-finance of the <x0 project HERAS High Education, Research and Applied Science”
The project is funded by Austrian organisations with a total of one million and 800 euros, while August for the project has earmarked about 200,000 euros.
Education Minister Fatmir Bytyqi thanks the Austrian state for the help it is offering Kosovo.
This current arrangement allows us to support our students in our doctorate and post-dance specializations, and also in the most important area that we declassify as a state in the research part which the organization part H ERAS is giving us tremendous support. We are opening up new opportunities for our young people to really have the opportunity to have in addition to the usual studies that have been so far have the opportunity to even develop the research part, the scientific part what is really very necessary”, Bytyqi said.
Bytyqi far added that project H ERAS helps all institutions of higher education create research institutes, which have missed many universities.
“We have had a meeting where work has been presented that has been done by the HERAS, it has become a publication of a regulation where even contact points of experts that are extremely important, and all this is helping not only the University of Pristina but all institutions of higher education, to create research institutions, and to develop what we have mostly missed in our institutions”, he said.
Vus Austira representative Veronica Nitsche said this agreement further deepens co-operation with the ministry, with the aim of developing higher education.
According to her, the project aims to connect higher education with the labour market.

This project is funded by Austria's Development Agency and is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Education. We are happy to co-operate in the higher education system in many respects through universities and through the Ministry of Education”, she said.
