On the eve of the visit to the Balkans, European Union foreign policy chief Federica Moghrini said it is time for positive changes, for achieving irreversible progress towards the EU.
She said the Western Balkans is Europe and will be part of the EU's future.
“It is the common interest and shared responsibility of the EU and the countries of the region for the benefit of all our citizens. It is the moment for positive changes, in order to achieve irreversible progress towards the EU”, she said through a statement.
Moghrin next week will visit Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia, where he will present new annual reports by the European Commission for the progress of these countries towards the EU.
The European Union's foreign policy chief will first visit Tirana, in 17 April and 18 April, while then heading to Skopje, where the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Johannes Hahn, will join. The Balkan tour, Moghrin, will continue with a visit to Tivat in Montenegro and will end with a stop in Belgrade on 19 April.
