According to co-ordinators for these subjects, Agim Maliqi, they are cases of different profiles. Justice system monitors say these are not high profile cases as required.

Among the criteria for visa liberalisation for Kosovo citizens from the European Union is fighting corruption. Co-ordinator for corruption targets, Agim Maliqi, has said there are already 42 cases in treatment.

In an interview for Radio Kosovo, Maliqi said that out of this number of 6 subjects are in investigative procedure, 31 cases of indictment, while the other cases are under investigation.

According to him, in the investigative procedure there are five cases. He has cited cases known as “Sexer”, “Visat” and “Avansi” at the Foundation Court in Pristina, case “February” at the Foundation Court in Ferizaj and “Construction” at the Mitrovica Court.

According to Maliqi, up to now on the first scale five cases have been concluded, while the cut form is 6 cases.

The effective prison sentence is 2 cases, the prosecutor's criminal case to serve 3 years and 5 thousand euros in fines, criminal acts “Matreks M”, which is a five-year prison sentence of cut form”, Maliqi said.

According to Maliqi, there are only two cases involving official persons, until others have no public high positions.

But, Betim Musliu from the Kosovo Institute for Justice, said that given the resulting amount to fighting corruption, the fight against this phenomenon has not shown concrete results.

In cases targeted as top cases, we have found that there are middle-profile cases that are sold to public as high-profile cases. The results of these cases of charges and judgments do not testify to a real fight against corruption, but simply a fraud to get results that can be sold before the EU as success”, Musliu has said.

Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri, in an interview for Radio Kosovo, has said that cadrovic and budgetary conditions have already been created to address these materials, which he says have been missing in the past.
