France's President Emmanuel Macron has expressed his concerns about worsening the situation in Syria.
He has made these comments during a telephone conversation with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, where he has called for more dialogue with Moscow, his office has announced.
Macron, who said Thursday that France has evidence that the Syrian regime has used chemical weapons in the attack in Duma, has also expressed regret for Russia's use of veto from the Security Council over the attack.
The republic's “president has called for dialogue with Russia to intensify so that peace and stability can be returned to Syria”, the president's Macron office reports.
