The Democratic Party of Kosovo, which is part of the ruling coalition together with AAK-Nisma, The AKR and other parties oppose the country going to extraordinary parliamentary elections.
Going to new elections is calling for the Democratic League of Kosovo.
But the deputy head of PDK and parliamentary group chief Memli Krasniqi have said there should be no elections, and institutions should reach the mandate to the end.
Our position on this matter is clear. It should not be this election, and the mandate of institutions should be respected until the end of”, Krasniqi has declared the news.net.
Against LDK's request, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, has also indicated for new elections.
Alliance Chairmanship for the Future of Kosovo member Muharrem Nitaj has told news that there are no signs that the country will go to the polls. It has even indicated that the LDK cannot set the date for elections.
It is natural for the opposition to call for elections, but it is not LDK that decides when they should be held. Once there is no sign of early elections”, Nitaj said.
The LDK aims to gather political party leaders at a table over the next week to set a date for early elections, in contrast, threatened Government with no-confidence motion in the Assembly.
