The Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo (BSPK) on Tuesday will organise protest to seek better conditions for workers.
BSPK Chairman Avni Aydini said law enforcement, job safety, recognition of the work experience for the years of HINA-99 and health insurance are the requirements that will be filed in this protest.
The job issue is not satisfying, so we have decided on 1 May to protest. By 12 p.m., I'm asking all the workers to flood the square. There are many drastic violations of the worker's rights, labour law, collective contracts and individual contracts”, he said.
This protest, according to BSPK leaders, will take place to warn the government that they are not doing enough for workers' rights.
“Security in workplaces is disappointing, promises given are disappointing, so in protest we will demand that politics be careful what it is doing for workers. The worker falls from the skeleton for a belt. We ask our relevant bodies to punish all those who do not respect the labour law”, the BSPK leader has indicated.
