The head of the National Initiative Council, Jakup Krasniqi, has expressed conviction that without a doubt Albanian society in general and this of Kosovo in particular, have pressing needs to develop a serious and humanised debate on how and where we should move on.
This debate primarily needs politics, those who are running and promising to govern with our countries to make big decisions for the nation. But before major decisions are made, priorities without which we cannot go to major national-level decisions” must be set, Krasniqi says.
He adds that to set the priorities Kosovo citizens need, certain steps must be taken:
The first step, of course, should be to open a debate within the political parties, so that in those debates, political parties would assign their political wills to what priority they would be willing to agree on.
The second step, full compliance to launch a political debate among parliamentary political parties, from which the debate would have political priorities of national interest.
Step three, listing real priorities, urgent national interest priorities. Here I am talking about national priorities that are largely dependent on our political will.
Krasniqi says the priorities recently set do not depend on our political will.
He stresses that the priorities that depend on us are:
1. Rule of order and law;
2. No politicised justice system;
3. Well organized and well exploited financial system;
4. Economic development, favouring potential investors and employment;
5. Quality education of reform;
6. Well-organised public health.
These priorities provide other priorities with visa liberalisation that so many are demanding. No one should love this place more than we do! Although, during these years we have shown no love, except for ignorance”, Krasniqi said.
