Director General of the Organisation for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons Ahmet Uzumi said their investigative team has not yet entered Duma “due to security problems”, two days after they arrived in Syria.
He said to the Organisation's Executive Council for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons that Russian and Syrian officials attending the meeting in Damascus told the investigative team that “security problems still exist that must be resolved before the team enters Duma”.
More than 60 civilians have lost their lives in Duma, following the recent use of chemical weapons by the Syrian government. This situation led to the enterprise of attacks on military and chemical bases in Syria from the US, England and France.
