Named for the fourth time as a world press photographer and once Oscar candidate for his war documentary Restrepo éstrepo he was one of the most repossessed members of his profession, reports “Daily Mail”, the Periscope broadcast.
However, his ruthless attempt to document the impact of war would cost him his life. The 41-year-old Briton was killed along with American journalist Chris Hondros during the 2011 Arab Spring in Libya.
Tim counts many international awards won as the world's best picture award, the Jury Grand Prize at the Sundance Film Festival (2010) and two Emmy awards for constant coverage and editing (2011).
His photo collection consists of the Afghanistan War (2007-2008), Liberia (2003-2006) and Libya (2011) reflecting his work as a creator and humanitarian./Periscopi/
