Hoxhaj warns rebuttal for Serbia

Serbia's recent actions, including the ongoing aggressive campaign against international recognition of Kosovo, as well as the recent statements by Serbia's prime minister, Anna Brnabic, regarding Kosovo's participation at the European Union Summit for the Western Balkans in Sofia, have prompted the Kosovo government's deputy prime minister, Enver Hoxhaj. Through a text on his Twitter profile, Hoxhaj says such actions are making dialogue for normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia impossible to develop.
Furthermore, Hoxhaj has written that Kosovo will take its actions in countering these Serbia campaigns against Kosovo, because these are against normalising relations.
“The aggressive and systematic campaign for attracting Kosovo recognitions and publicly emerging Serbia against Kosovo's participation at the EU summit for the Western Balkans in Sofia are making dialogue between the two states impossible. Kosovo will respond to these actions proportionally, because the same are against normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia”, Hoxhaj has written on Twitter.
Recently, Serbia's prime minister, Ana Brnabic, has declared that Kosovo's participation in the Sofia summit is meaningless for Serbia. On the other hand, the Government of Serbia continues to pride itself on its work in attracting international recognitions to Kosovo.
These actions, as well as the events of the week we left behind, where Marko Djurovic was arrested, have made it unclear whether Kosovo and Serbia will continue dialogue on normalising relations in Brussels, since most of the agreements are not being respected, especially on the part of the Serbian state. On the other hand, this is a precondition for the new EU enlargement strategy in the Western Balkans, so that the two states can mark progress in the Euro-integration process.
