Hoti: The only success the Progress Report has highlighted is Demarket

LDK Parliamentary Group chief Avdullah Hoti speaking at the extraordinary session discussing the Progress Report has said this report clears that the Government of Kosovo from September 2017 has sent no convincing signal to Brussels that it is serious to fulfil the obligations the state of Kosovo has as [...]
“The political criteria of this report, until that of 2016, mention polarisation between the government and the opposition, which is normal in fact, the latest report points to polarisation within the ruling coalition itself and the fragility of the coalition, which has already lost and the simple majority. This fragility has enabled this coalition to build a general consensus on national importance topics in line with the European agenda”, Hoti said.
According to him, the report highlights the tendency to flee international obligations and the only success remaining in this report is ratification of the demarcation agreement with Montenegro, which was met thanks to the LDK's commitment.
Hoti said the report stresses that the government has failed to address recommendations given during 2016, showing a lack of seriousness in the face of these international obligations.
