Hot food in Commission for rotten meat

For recent meat-processing scandals, the head of the Commission for Human Rights and Gender Equality, Duda Bale, at the table over the issue of importation and meat processing, has said they are not against producers and meat processing, but according to her there should be no corrupt meat market and scandals such as are happening recently.

According to her, consumers are facing nonquality meat products. She is convinced that there are irregularities in the meat market.

AUV chief executive chief Valdet Djindovci has said that this institution has eliminated rotten meat from Belgium produced in 2004 and that also in 2017 it has been caught by Belgium and has disappeared.

“We have not allowed this type of old meat to enter Kosovo, it has been transparent the case and it has been repeatedly reported. Belgium's authorities have recently taken steps in Belgium to the controversial body”, Djindovci said, the KP reported.

MP Luljeta Vesey Gutaj has asked AUV chief to tell about names of meat makers and economic operators who have been confiscated and eliminated from meat goods.

The other MP, Albulen Balaj, asked consumers to boycott Elkos, as she said, there are many irregularities in this economic operator with meat products”. However, Fatos Islami intervened from Elkos, where verbal confrontations with MP Balaj took place.
