Havolley Chief Prosecutor Lumez Coordinates for Prevention of Corruption

Chief State Prosecutor Aleksandar Lumezi has hosted the Anti-Corruption Agency Director, Shaip Havollin, Director for Prevention of Corruption Africa Atatshi, and the Director of the Department for Fighting Corruption, Blerim Kelmendi.

Under joint actions, Chief Prosecutor Lumez and Director Havolli have discussed the implementation and supervision of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2018 over 2022, on meeting and changes expected in anti-corruption legislation.

Havolley Riveres have also discussed aspects associated with the prevention and elimination of the causes of corruption by declaring the wealth of senior public officials. They have also discussed preventing the appearance of conflict of interest situations, as well as narrowing areas for corruption in public procurement.

Meanwhile, Chief Prosecutor Lumezi has said the State Prosecutor's top priorities are successful prosecutions of criminal acts that are linked to organised crime and against the economy.

Lumez also pointed out that false reporting or reporting of wealth, income, other material benefits, or financial obligations is a criminal offense, and that the State Attorney will take on prosecution against those who do not declare or make false claims of property.
