Haradinaj has the power to dismiss Gashi's Sefaj

The government's chief, located in “informative”, has tried to show primacy to the interior minister and AKI chief, only demanding their release from responsibility. Legal officials have said that this term is not recognized by law.

Based on these obstacles, Haradinaj has been forced to seek the release of these two senior officials, but not their dismissal. This is evident in the wording of his decision.

“Based on constitutional competencies, as prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo I have requested immediate release from the responsibility of the director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, Mr. Driton Gashi and immediate release from the responsibility of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Flamur Sefa”, said in Haradinaj's decision.

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has so far not approved such a request. Rather, he demanded that no one be judged before dawn. Under these circumstances, both Sefaj and Gashi continue to be on official sites as heads of institutions. In the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the minister finds that the minister is Flamur Sefaj, while in AKI, he finds that the director is Driton Gashi.

In spite of that, Haradinaj has been charged by Turkey's president, Recep Tayip Erdogan for misbehaved in reporting with those two officials. Haradinaj has not responded to his threats, but instead has done so to Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselini and Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj.
