Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj have not yet chosen any names appointed to the post of AKI director.
Haradinaj said he is awaiting proposal from President Hashim Thaci, since by law the proposal should make the head of state.
The procedure is that the proposal comes from the president, but the appointment becomes bilateral. I am awaiting proposals from the president, we are in discussions that this will happen, we are concerned that we have a continuation in AKI and its functions that have AKI”, Haradinaj said.
The resignation of AKI chief Driton Gashi came after the arrest and deportation of six Turkish citizens, failing to inform the heads of state.
