The government has ignored Kosovo Post for financial coverage of the Universal Post Service.
Two weeks earlier, the Board of Directors of this enterprise through a public letter had called on its shareholder, the Government of Kosovo, to repay losses from this service, writes today “Koha Ditore”
On the contrary, from the burdened financial situation, the Board had announced that as of April 1st, it would not be able to share wages for workers.
Kosovo's post is obliged by law to offer the Universal Postal Service regardless of the cost or eventual losses. On the other hand, the Government of Kosovo is obliged by law to cover the losses of this service. There is also an agreement between the Post and the Ministry of Economic Development.
Against the board's warning, the government has not responded to this company's call.
