A group of civil society organisations, activists and members of the University of Pristina academic staff have demanded that arrested activists of the Student Movement for Equality Research Critics Action (SKV) be protected in freedom, and taken as a relief measure for being students.

On April 12th, when marking the 8th anniversary of the establishment of the Student Movement for Equality, we studied Critics Action (SKV), six student activists were arrested. Student activists still being held in custody are Korab Muhadri, Kreshnik Gega, Pajtim Demaj, Januz Shatri, Hajredin Krasniqi and Andrew Shatri. We condemn police violence used by the police to the students, exercised during the arrest and police station, outlined by the Kosovar Centre for the rehabilitation of Torture Survivors, by interviews and watching police files and medical evidence and surveillance”, the media reportedly submitted.

The undersigned require that arrested students be taken as a facilitating measure by being students and left to defend themselves in freedom.
