In recent days, Kosovo police have increased search for car equipment with special seats for children until the age of 12. According to police officials, they are only following the law. And citizens think that this is a very good thing, since special seating provides children.
Equipment of cars with seats for children by the age of 12 is regulated with the communications law in the Republic of Kosovo. Some of the participating citizens in communications told public television that the use of individual seats for children provides the latter during the drive.
I am about to force parents to be equipped with seats for children. Children are being noticed being put forward, and that's very dangerous, so children should have seats. Of course, children have to have seats, it's taken a long time to do it, because it's about child safety”, a citizen from Pristina said.
Meanwhile, for the Kosovo Police that in recent days has intensified their controls in traffic on the very issue of the seats, it says they are only implementing the law. Kosovo Police spokesman Bajram Krasniqi said police have pronounced dozens of fines so far and will continue to control drivers.
The children under the age of 12 and the height of under 100 inches [150 cm] must have a special seat. And if drivers are not equipped with this seat, they will be fined by police officers who patrol the” street, Krasniqi said.
