Brussels' pressure on Kosovo institutions is constantly growing as regards the Association of Serb-run municipalities.
This time around, Burxley has set a deadline for the Kosovo side for when to draft the statute of this association.
On its official page, the European Union estimates that Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's announcement of granting the mandate to the managing team for drafting the House of Association - Ministership of Major Serb municipalities in Kosovo is very welcome.
The Statout drafting process has begun and will take place within a four-month deadline.
This long-awaited step allows the implementation of the Dialogue Agreement on the Association / Community of Serb Majority municipalities, which is an obligation Kosovo undertaken in the EU's relaxed dialogue, the April 2013 Brussels Accords, and August 2015”, it is said in their announcement.
EU emphasises that it will invite chief negotiators from Belgrade and Pristina, their teams, Steering Team and Technical Experts for Discussions in Brussels to engage constructively and confidently in the drafting process
