A EULEX prosecutor has filed an indictment against the six defendants who are charged with criminal acts “Unauthorized possession of weapons”, “access or forced into prostitution”, “Conversion, Deception and Falification of documents”. Of them, three defendants have been charged with criminal acts of counterfeiting the status of the KLA war veteran. Two were forgers of this status by fraud, while one was the beneficiary of the war veteran's counterfeit status.

The Special Prosecutor's Office reports that Kosovo and EULEX police have launched their joint investigations in January 2016.

Investigations have led to the discovery of an illegal network of arms trading and an amount of weapons made up of explosives and two automatic weapons. In addition, several other different weapons had been seized in possession of the defendants.

The defendants allegedly exerted influence in order to secure status and then pension the KLA War Veterans' Association in exchange for a fee of up to a thousand euros. The defendants have thus damaged Kosovo's state budget.

Three defendants have been charged with criminal acts in connection with these activities (the exercise of influence, fraud and counterfeiting of documents), of which two were forgers of this status by fraud, while one was the beneficiary of the war veteran's forged status.

At the same time, one of the defendants was involved in promoting and arranging for free sex between a woman and several men; taking advantage of her serious economic conditions and benefiting from the event.

This indictment has been established at the Constitutional Court in Mitrovica. /Telegraphy/
